Setting /= Character
Hey, you know what a really well developed setting that you like a lot is? A really well developed setting that you like a lot. It's not a character because it's where shit happens, not the actors in the shit. Who invented this god awful cliche?
Rocket, you're welcome to them, but your opinions are nearly the opposite of the rest of the world.
Drug Soldiers
To answer your question, yeah, those soldiers come up a few more times. It's never really interesting, though.
In 1999, I was on a school-sponsored trip out West, and for some reason, we had one mix tape for the entire 20-day trip. This was the trip on which I plowed through the Dune books for the first time. Long story short, when I think of Muad'dib leading the Fremen into battle, I think of "Larger Than Life."
To reiterate the first point: it's not like the government is red testing people on random civilians. They obviously had a reason to take the wife out. "Didn't they know who she was?" Sheesh.
Tower Defense
You are combining two genres and calling them Tower Defense. Tower Defense is when you place defensive towers to shoot at (and sometimes herd) approaching bad guys. Castle Defense is when you perform some action, be it purchasing a little guy or flicking your finger on the screen, in order to stop bad…
Gravis
You made me google gravis gamepad to be reminded of being 10.
Combination
Losing weight while your career as a tv critic is taking off (especially when you're the TV Club utility man) is an underrated achievement. Congrats.
Waste of Time
Law & Order: Kentucky
Not what I think of
Garden State couldn't begin to erase the connection I have between this song and the girl from high school I spent my freshman year of college pining for.
This is the worst premise ever, so of course they had to film it twice in rapid succession.
Green Day
I thought Green Day had massive critical praise in 94? Aren't they mentioned in High Fidelity? I certainly greatly enjoyed 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours when I discovered it in 2004, far more than anything else they've done.
Yeah, the total bullshit of the scanning thing notwithstanding, I actually think they did a decent job establishing why her subconscious would begin to suspect that secret was relevant. For one thing, how many important things could she have withheld from the doctors? For another, they established early on with the…
Neighbor
Uh, yeah, don't live next to me if you want to argue with your wife and then have her have a nasty bruise on her face without me immediately calling the cops. Because, yeah, I would immediately call the cops.
Space Miner
Space Miner is great. I'm entering my 12th hour playing it (not consecutively).
Um, no? They're both tower defense games. That are seventeen million of them on the internets. They're not even that similar, as in Desktop Defender you create the path, and in Crystal Defender the bad guys are constrained to the set path.
Oh Come On
It was hilarious and proved Krasinski has comic range beyond the deadpan stare. He really played the mania excellently. And a tour de force from Dwight as well.
Fine, no answers, it's Lost. I can accept that. But the action barely made any sense. I'm trying to kill you! Oh no, a ball fell down! Go do kill Locke! It was betrayal! We're at peace! No, now I'm killing you! I'm evil now, hah!
You guys are missing a salient point about why the New Radicals are cool: he's from my hometown!
