Further forays into neo-grindhouse
I recommend a double feature of House of the Devil and Black Dynamite. These films should have been paired together and called Grindhouse II.

It should have been in 3-D
I haven't seen Hot Tub Time Machine yet, but I can only imagine that 3-D effects would really enhance all of the impalings, eye-gougings, etc.

When used skillfully, the subjective camera essentially implicates the viewer in the events taking place on screen. This technique is a vital tool in the creation of self-reflexive films, and it places a critical emphasis on the active role of a bloodthirsty audience in violent cinema.
