Look, I know I'm not witty like that critic guy, but does he know all the words to the Oscar Mayer song?

Lady, he's putting my kids through college!
Our gentle ribbing has gone too far! Now we're paying the passive-aggressive price!
Hey, has anyone else not been getting any notifications for shows that they follow lately (past 4-5 days)? I'm just trying to figure out if it's the system or maybe I'm just the internetting wrong.
@avclub-3939e1a6347fb39e7ad765f88bf33a14:disqus Definitely. Even just in the three or so years I've worked at this shop it's been incredible to see just how much more mainstream the medium has become. Between all of the Marvel/DC movies being box office smashes and the ridiculous popularity of The Walking Dead,…
It's just interesting because they sent each store a preview copy and called us up personally to ask about it. The other thing is that yes, there is only a single printing of it, but Valiant is also making the book fully returnable. So, theoretically, a store could order 200 copies, sell 50 and return the rest for a…
It was… interesting. We're a small shop, so we didn't get stacks of anything (to put it into perspective, the most subscribers we have for a book is around 45), but most of the 3D covers that made the shelves sold out. Some were more popular than others (Batman related books, mostly) and it definitely slowed down as…
Question: How does everyone feel about Valiant's upcoming Unity book? The only book of theirs that I still follow is Quantum and Woody, and that's just because it's still relatively new. (I liked all their other stuff, especially Harbinger, but just fell off for one reason or another.)
What happened to Static Shock? I know his book got cancelled, but has he appeared in anything else? I thought for sure they'd put him on Teen Titans…
I respect Arrow more than I like it, simply because it has had a noticeable effect on traffic and sales in our shop. Especially with young women. The same thing happened when The Avengers came out. We had a noticeable uptake in younger female customers coming in asking about Black Widow and Hawkeye comics. It's really…
@avclub-9a395ceaaad37c03a10af45ea1d07abc:disqus I read that also. Do you know if that includes subsequent printings of Hawkeye or just that first batch? Because I know that Hawkeye was a surprise hit, selling significantly more than Marvel anticipated (and printed).
@disqus_ucwsDOcMoR:disqus She wrote Simpson Comics back in the day!
Zero Year has been better than I expected. I was just getting burnt out on the whole grim-for-grimness'-sake schtick that haunted that book for so long. Maybe it's the new color palette, but it's caught my attention again.
Savage Wolverine was a lot of fun this week. Jock writing and drawing a story about Logan marooned on an alien planet. I'm not a big Wolverine fan to begin with, but I typically enjoy when they completely take him out of his element.
And don't forget that Arrow consistently has more and better abs each week than S.H.I.E.L.D.!
I like hockey!
@avclub-08ae6a26b7cb089ea588e94aed36bd15:disqus Now that's some goddamn good character development.
No! Not my precious Badger!!
Also, I'd be curious to hear any retailers' thoughts on this whole month. Blowout sales or four week clusterfuck?
Just a heads up, they're recollecting that Iron Fist run in fatter trades. The first one is around 500 pages for forty bucks MSRP. I believe it'll be out before Christmas.
