Soule has been a real pleasant surprise over the past few months. I'm genuinely excited about the new She-Hulk book he's doing with Pulido. Getting a lawyer to write a comic about a super-powered lawyer? Brilliant!

It's interesting how at the shop I work at there is little if any people that subscribe to both Fantastic Four and FF. The people that get Fantastic are die hard superhero readers who don't even acknowledge our independent sections (save maybe Walking Dead), while FF is the only big two book most of our subs for it…
What was the deal with him in Detective? He was something like a P.I./consultant to the GCPD, right?
@avclub-b0dae075785888267fc19871f3e7dab7:disqus I believe that it's basically a "What If?" series. Supposedly it takes place in the pre-New 52 universe, bridging the gap between him as Robin and the Batman 666 future where he's Batman.
I read a number of them simply because I work at a shop and can do so for free. In actuality I'm not much of a superhero guy, but I like having an idea of what's going on it that world to help me interact with customers better.
I know. That Jackanapes appearance was very…. conflicting. Was that issue supposed to be the lead-in to Kubert's Damien series? Because that is disheartening…
Honorable mentions: Brainiac, Luthor. I really wanted to read the Dial E one, but I'm not caught up on the series. It looked beautiful though…
Now that it's over, what is the verdict on DC's Villains Month? Which one(s) did you guys think were the best (or at least your favorite), the worst, the most surprising of the ones you read?
@avclub-022199896b1f52952c180b60caa681bd:disqus I love how I (and I assume others of my generation) have such an affinity for Matlock despite never having seen it thanks to The Simpsons.
When this happened, it was great news for us Vermonters.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Skinny Pete on keyboards with the band. My only real complaint is that I would have loved to see more Bob Odenkirk/Conan banter. What little there was was gold.
Theory: Malcolm in the Middle actually takes place during Walt's exile in New Hampshire.
Dexter is one of those show I was all about for a while. I binged watched the first couple of seasons, but then when I decided to stop paying for Showtime I really realized that I didn't actually miss it at all.
When's The Following's marathon start again?
On a similar note, did you know that apparently Hello Ladies premieres at 10:30 PM September 29 in Maine?
X! The Eliminator!
Nazis? Not those clowns again!
This joke always gets me.
Are we finally going to explore the Spice Wars?
I enjoyed the Grodd issue from this month, but it's wasn't mindblowing or anything. I may just have a soft spot for hyper-intelligent gorillas.
