Danny really needs to learn how to read a room:
On terrible acting, I had to pause the show after the Ward/Joy confrontation as I was just laughing so hard. It was almost as if the director was giving the two actors very different instructions on what was happening in the scene with Ward quietly stating that everything was okay and Joy acting like he had just…
Your talking about the main security guard. I'm talking about the guy who first passes Rand and sure as hell does not chase him. I did literally just watch the episode.
My absolute favorite part in the episode was when Danny Rand escapes to the block party full of Asian-Americans and the goon doesn't realize that the white guy with curly blond hair and same clothes as always walking past him is Danny Rand because he is wearing a mask. I laughed so hard at that point.
This episode felt like the writer thought the best part of Batman Begins was the struggle to control Wayne Enterprises. Not the reasons behind the struggle or what the corporation meant to Bruce, but just the struggle in general, which is a curious choice.
I always love this argument as it utterly ignores why Danny Rand was a white guy to begin with. As culture changes, we can be critical of both old decisions driven by very clear racial biases and ask why they should be uphold.
I assumed they were holding back on Talia because she is much more connected to Bat-mythology than Nyssa and there were probably some firewalls in place for that. Although it is weird as the show's Nyssa is, character-wise, much closer to the comics Talia and Talia closer to comics Nyssa. Still, in a way it is great…
I thought Graves did an excellent job at Bring it to the Table on explaining why the Styles/Shane match does nothing for him, and I must admit that I am slightly surprised it wasn't mentioned in the bullet points here. Damn this cold war between the Red and Blue. Anyway, according to him, when you think on Shane…
I will give the show credit for doing something that slightly shocked me, even if I am almost certain they are going to retcon that admission the hell away. They made Wally faster than Barry, their main protagonist. If they stick to that, I have to respect that and not just because I am a Wally West fan, but rather…
I will be honest, I'm utterly confused by this argument. So Dana's two biggest reactions so far in her main roster career have both come after she attacked Charlotte, yet this has nothing to do with Charlotte's performance as a heel and just some random disturbance of dynamics? I guess based on this logic, no heel or…
Something I appreciated in the Reigns/Michaels confrontation was that they are not trying to sell Roman as a good guy here. He was arrogant and dismissive, which does not make him a heel, but does allow the crowds to be against in the story which is really the only thing I ask.
Something I forgot was that I absolutely loved supportive Steph throughout the episode. It really drove home what an awful human being she is as this was her showing her warm side.
Only the second and they had a lot more built for the first time. I mean, as much as there are complaints about Charlotte, the fact that she could reactions like that for Dana speaks a lot on why WWE seems to be investing hard on her.
The women's segments tonight were kind of odd. They weren't necessary bad and the pop for that Dana/Charlotte interaction was great, but out of the three segments, only one actually served the Wrestlemania story. The Charlotte/Dana has nothing to do with Mania, unless they are going with a bizarre story of can…
Something I also loved about that final segment was that the whole show, I expected to fall on his sword there and quit instead of firing somene. Instead he went after Steph and Triple H hard, which really set up the dynamic for the confrontation.
That final Steph/Foley/Trips/Rollins segment was so much fire. It was a bit long, I will admit that, but at the end of it, I felt it really couldn't be shorter as each pause and drawn out line served a purpose. And that moment when Rollins dropped the crutch and revealed the Kingslayer shirt, logistics aside, got such…
What I really liked about the sketches in this episode that a lot of them just ended up going to a very different direction than I initially expected, often in a really entertaining manner. For example, that women's day sketch was just a thing of beauty, especially with ScarJo's and Bryant's expressions constantly…
Okay, so I gave an actual concrete reasoning why I am leaning towards Asuka going to Smackdown instead of Raw with getting nothing in response. As for Emma, she started working the Raw house shows as they started to hint at her arrival. If that happens with Asuka, then we can change the discussion from that…
Asuka's been doing the house shows for Smackdown. It seems almost given that she is going there, especially since Raw seems to be shifting their future focus on Bayley/Sasha.
