I was laughing so hard when Maryse was just trying to act non-chalantly when the referee caught her trying to attack Crews, like why wouldn't she be standing on the apron, not even really paying attention to the match itself. I keep repeating this, but it is wonderous how much Maryse enhances the Miz's act, which was

As fond I've grown of the Raw announcing team, JBL continues to have a special place in my heart for just his level of attention to detail and utter insanity when required. Be it just the way he facially conveyd shock after the Miz/Renee confrontation or when he stated that the Detroit crowd making the 'Si' chant

This was the episode of Raw where I realized that I actually kind of love the announcing team there. Cole is pretty good as the neutral voice, Byron is not only in the joke, but actively contributes to it and Graves just manages to seem to elevate everything.

That opening segment had no right to be as amusing it was. Just the chaotic feeling, as pointed out in the review, fueling everything with Chris and Kevin almost clearly just riffing on things. Especially the recovery on the Pittsburg fumble was just great.

I absolutely loved that line not just because it was funny, but that it indicated that Big E was aware what was happening in other programs and making off-hadn comments about it. Which is something that WWE usually avoids, but adds a lot to that feeling of a larger WWE universe.

As a sidenote, while the Charlotte/Bayley had some rough spots at the start, I thought these two days once again showed how freakishly good Charlotte is in the ring. Just the way she is constantly character and conveying with expressions. She is easily one of the best workers in the company for me, just the way she

I'm slightly surprised how much I'm intrigued by the approach they seem to be taking with Charlotte/Bayley story, especially with the fluky finish here. Bayley's overconfident after getting those non-title wins over Charlotte, while seeming to dismiss the questionable circumstances for two of them, while not truly

Now that Booker seems to traveling to the Raw tapings, I'm really hoping they make Raw Talk a regular thing and recommend people watching that post-Roadblock one as I thought all three acts did great while Booker T was clearly different from Bryan and pushing the talent with a more experience voice.

I really liked this episode of Raw as not only was there this renewed energy and flow to it, but it also had this feeling of a larger world. They had so many cross-references and acknowledgements of other things happening in a delightful manner.

I am so in with Heel Neville that I am actually considering watching 205 Live. Just the energy he brought with these two appearances was terrific. Just like Graves, I honestly had no idea he had it in him.

But that's not how countouts work. The referee can call a no-contest due to an injury, but can't prevent stopping a countout as for there to be a countout, it requires there to be an active match. Especially since Becky could have literally just rolled out from another corner. Also for them to tell that story, the

Another moment of seemingly really weird storytelling that hit me afterwards. Why did the Miz interfere there? He had issues with both remaining guys, comes out of nowhere seemingly to attack Ziggler, but then decides to hold on to Ambrose for the hell of it? That was a crucial moment for that match, but I can't make

I'd add that the land of opportunity argument feels even weirder when Baron Corbin, who basically only wins on this show, still couldn't get on the match instead of Ziggler or Harper.

I couldn't understand the finish for the Bliss/Becky match. So Bliss is outside the ring being counted out, but Becky didn't go out to get her back to the ring because the referee was blocking her for some reason? Not that Becky even made an attempt to go around Robinson and decided to wait until the end of the match

The Nikki/Nattie/Carmella storyline is starting to apporach such levels of awfulness for me that it is actually feeling entertaining in the utter insanity of story choices there. A list of choice moments in this episode:

There were two really great small moments in that final elimination match from the commentary side. First was the way Styles started to slightly root for Ziggler and almost seemed pleased that he won, which was really good as I don't generally really like Styles as a solo promo. Second was when JBL commented how Dean

But that doesn't need the removal of the rematch clause as this is already the rematch. If Charlotte lost here, she wouldn't have any claim to face Sasha again.

…So when has Dana eaten a pin for Charlotte on a PPV? Considering that that loss at Battleground was Charlotte tapping out to Sasha's Banks Statement.

While I've always dug Alicia's crazy persona, there's something so delightfully over the top with her for me, I'm almost desperate for Bayley to show some sort of energy in those backstage segments. This is of course a personal opinion, but while I've accepted that her ring work is just not for me, Bayley's backstage

While I'm not certain it was originally planned, I did like that they just stuck with the Sasha/Charlotte video package on this Raw as there's almost nothing they could have done that could have improved on last week's brilliance. I am so looking forward to that Ironman match even if I am still baffled that it will
