Man oh man do I love this movie! One of the three best movies ever made that take place on a moving train.

Thanks, that was fun.

(In which I attempt to rewrite from memory my brilliant takedown of this jerkface…because Disqus, damnit!)

That's fine, you get to be willfully ignorant, and I get to be disgusted.

So what happens when someone who's work you already respect and admire is revealed to have done something morally repugnant? Do you retroactively ignore their work? Do you pretend you never really liked their work?

I actually watched all 30+ minutes of that. It was surprisingly coherent.

I guess I'm atempting to point out that creating original characters who happen to not be white, hetero, and male has not always been a good business decision. Cynical? Yes.

They tried that…do you remember Static Shock?

My 2 cents…

The Doors was the end of Stone's lifetime pass…

Blame Bob Hope and Bing Crosby.

The Biscuit Eater… This tale of the runt of the litter saved by two boys, one black, one white, tried its best to mix family entertainment and sharp commentary on race in America, but left a lot on the table. I'd love to see a Pixar version.

Enjoying season 2 of The Americans…Just returned from being one of the hordes of families at Paddington…

I honestly don't know when I ask this, but does One Direction even play instruments? Or write their own music?

Eddie?

Eric B. & Rakim, "I Ain't No Joke"

Red Rider, "Lunatic Fringe"

Tom Waits, "Pasties and a G- String"

I've decided to pay myself $100 for every new book I read this year…

Based on the recommendation here last year, I really enjoyed Enlightened. It was an excellent mix of cultural critique and workplace comedy that was probably best put out of its misery after two seasons. I'm not sure it was sustainable.
