I dunno, I've only played 1 & 2 (all three of them) but it seemed to me in those games at least, that the Assassins were always pretty obviously shitty in the grand scheme of things, I never felt like they were portrayed as particularly righteous. Ezio was mostly just obsessed with revenge, and the Assassins seemed

We're truly in a golden age of the AV Club; when 7 out of the top 8 featured articles are 'Great Job, Internet!'s

It's only slander if it isn't true

I was a little skeptical of this whole thing at first, but now it's obvious that they've really captured the essence and fun of the original perfectly

:( :( :(

Jesus Christ, even within the abominable confines of this deplorable feature "The Fellowship Of The Ring was Middle Earth’s original Suicide Squad" is a new low in nonsensical article titles. It might be the stupidest fucking thing I've ever read.

The title reads as though they were gonna take half of Duchovny's paycheck and give it to her. Which would be shitty, but they would end up paid the same.

"What are you guys even doing anymore, internet?!"

So is she going to kick the shit out starving artists squatting in abandoned townhouses, or wait until she can kick the shit out of the people running doggie daycare and artisanal ice cream shoppes?

Is that Dean Pelton up there?

I try to cut some slack to reviewers; but lately it's been so common and egregious that it almost feels like they're trolling commenters. It just seems weird that we're supposed to read recaps from people that aren't even invested enough to get basic shit right.

"Outsized response"? I didn't even make a response, I backed up someone else's and my complaint was clearly about the rhetoric of the internet at large. Since a tangential two sentence comment is so clearly "outsized", what response would you deem appropriate for a comment section, so as to avoid looking like the

"Space Cops" were pretty clearly Martian, not Earthers.

Of course diversity of creators influences the diversity of a product. You're making the same implicit argument as the author though; that in this case diversity of gender is the only type that is worthwhile or real.

Eh, just a cheap joke. You have to go looking for it, but boy does it get gross.

The internet seems to have made an implicit agreement that diversity of experience and design is irrelevant to art. The only diversity that matters involves genitals and skin color.

Really if they want to make Steven Universe palatable to the masses, they should find a way of censoring the disgusting sweaty fan-fiction first

"One internet commenter thinks this article totally sucks"

I really loved that despite the audience's expectations and desires about how a 'tv romance' should proceed, the fact that Jimmy stayed wasn't played as the definitive 'correct choice' just because it conformed to the laws of television.

I think Ricky is a truly brilliant avante-garde comedian, the fact that he's committed to this "Clueless comedian with an undeserved stand-up career" character for over a decade is really some Kaufmann level genius.
