My only problem with it is that it sets out to be the end-all be-all resolution to the Fry/Leela romance, and then they immediately and intentionally undercut it in the next movie. Annoying.

I agree! Anybody with 400 comments on anything has probably gone a little nuts. I made 8, though, on one of the largest comments sections on the site. I didn't refute that obvious hyperbole earlier because it didn't seem necessary.

I have to ask, @avclub-cbed2dabc5722c1348561d65f86e35b8:disqus : which asinine argument are you making? That I'm clearly not fun because I enjoy doing what the vast majority of people on this site seem to enjoy, ie discussing pop culture? Or that how fun I am determines my ability to say whether or not I'm allowed to…

It just seems like his dry, negative, hostile persona isn't one - it's just his real personality. And while it's great on stage, you can feel it sucking the life and fun out of things when he's on podcasts (which are of course also performances, so maybe he's still in "performance mode," but it seems real enough). He…

Somebody brought an 11-year-old kid to a John Oliver show I saw a few years ago, and it was actually pretty great. He was sitting right in the front row, so Oliver kept talking to him and ended up constantly contrasting this bright, interested kid with the morons shouting stuff out in the back of the room.

Todd Barry taught me a valuable lesson: There's a point of personal unpleasantness at which I will cut off my interest in a stand-up, regardless of how good his jokes and delivery are.

I am actively rooting for cancer. At this point, Walter White can't be killed by any one person for something as petty as revenge. Walter White must be rejected by the world, left to waste away as his own body turns against him. Not because of any malice I feel toward him, but because it is the place the show has been…
