It was a comedy show. People should have been there for the laughs.

I love TV. I am a man. One might even say I am masculine, yet I don't agree with anything this absurd article posits.

Can you NOT name a single player on the Thunder? They have probably the second best player in the whole league on their team. His name is Kevin Durant and he's about to become the face of the NBA. If you can't name a guy on the Thunder, that's not the Thunder's fault as they have a fully formed superstar. The joke…

A few years back, I decided that it was time my wife watched Terminator 2. I ran into Best Buy and picked up the director's cut. I am a staunch supporter of original theatrical versions, but the director's cut was like 10 dollars cheaper and it was my experience that every director's cut DVD typicall features an…

Right. Heaven forbid that something be presented without a tongue firmly planted in a cheek. I guess this is the wrong site to defend shmaltz, but I love that scene. I think it earns every bit of emotion it contains. I also like to think that Sean knows for a fact what he needs to say to Will for a very long time, but…
I think a huge part of the movie is the fact that what culminates as a solution to Will's problem is very atypical therapy. Will is (as you mention) presented time and again as someone who has no interest or real respect for standard therapy. It's only as the two begin to become friends that Will has breakthroughs. I…
Did you really write this with an eye on what the commentators would say? You wrote an entire, well-written article to have 650 people respond by making jokes about Canceraids and debate the career of Ben Stiller?

This episode was written by Abraham Higgenbottom, an old Arrested Development writer. And man did it come through. The flash joke was pure AD (hot cops anyone?). And the telenovella sequence in the hospital felt like a scrapped Marta storyline.

One of the Dexter books has a gangster who doesn't kill people, but he severs every limb, cuts off their lips, and their eyelids. Leaves them as living stumps (this is what happens to Doakes in the books) I wonder if that's who this European gangster will be.
I live in a major city. I am white. All my friends are white. I am not racist. Were I to write a show, I would probably cast all the people as white since they would be based on real life people. I imagine Dunham did the same. Sometimes it's okay not to be diverse. People of all races care a lot less about it than the…
Who cares if it's white or black? To quote some show, "Not being racist is the new racist."
These reviews are so weird. You give the episode a B, yet say almost nothing positive. I think it's clear you like the show, that should reflect a bit more in your writing. OR if you don't like the show (which your writing suggests) say so with your grades?
"If you aren't loving it, then you don't have the right tools?" I don't see how anyone can truly believe this. What does that even mean?
Yeah I don't know many people (especially commentators on this site) who would see a tv grade and just allow that to determine their opinion. I was happy to see that it didn't have a good grade, and I personally think that because it's David Cross, it probably didn't get a worse grade from the reviewer. If you read…
