yep
yep
i can live with that
i always thought he sang "in this ever-changing world in which we're living," which would make a lot more sense. or maybe i just want to believe that's what it is, paul's sake.
yeah, there are a lot of people who think that if they point out a spelling or grammatical error or otherwise complain about syntax it proves their wittiness AND excuses them from having to take part in an actual exchange of thoughts. usually it's best to ignore that stuff. but since carboxyl's complaint was itself…
uhh, the band or the language?
Yeah, "haven't" we?
I found the video, Scootz, if you're interested.
Nice! There used to be a great video on youtube of AW doing that song "semi-live" in what must have been their private rehearsal space. Much more raw than the LP version. Minus the studio glaze, it's actually a kick-ass song, believe it or not. Sadly, the video isn't there any more.
If only someone would play the guitar riff over the riff from "Day Tripper," that would be sweet. Wait a minute - someone already did, and it WAS sweet! First person to name that band gets to be awesome (to me).
"Turn, Turn, Turn"
Heh, I see. Funny stuff, although I don't think that particular flick would be my cup of tea, exactly. I added a few of my own if you're interested. (The Guitar Hero III review, in case you forgot.)

ps - i assume you would answer that question the same way i would, dave. i guess it's just my reaction to those who assert that you have to respect the studio wizard on artistic terms just as much as any other musician. i say you don't.
I don't fault the makers of this album either because whatever their motives - money, artistic expression, fame, etc. - they're really not harming anybody. Nor do I fault anyone for making music that I don't like because no one's forcing me to listen to it. Whether or not I respect them as artists is a different…
I said some people need to "feel" they are hearing raw honesty, either in the "creation or production or both." You said, similarly, that it's "the ability to get it [raw honesty] across convincingly" that counts. So we're in agreement that honesty in the performance alone can be a deciding factor for a listener,…
Well, that's the whole debate, isn't it? Some people appreciate art because they feel they catching a glimpse of the artist's true soul, at least some of the time. To them, that raw honesty on display is what makes the art effective. In other words "art" which is totally inorganic, in its creation or production or…
