It's a great song too!
It's a great song too!
"Give me one good reason not to do it…"
Everything about it is incredible. I love the way it immediately ramps up the emotion after the first line - "first the mic and a half cigarette / SINGING CATHY'S CLO-OOOOO-OOO-OWN"
the new Shins album fucking owns
Best Elliott Smith song?
"Does Samuel L Jackson like anime?"
This album is gonna be great
yeah it really sucks when people slander the good name of Adolf Hitler
everyone who calls other people 'beta' jacks off to anime and has a Pepe in their twitter avatar
He had at least one body pillow, that's for sure.
Using the word "word"
[pinches nose to sound as nasal as possible]
Why won't anyone engage me with logic?! I see you've conceded your point.
New Adventures is criminally underrated. That's a great top 5 IMO.
I think the point is that it's ignorant as hell for someone who doesn't understand the context to declare that album cover transphobic.
one of the most obnoxious things about the hall-monitor shit that online writers do now is that they think they can waltz into other people's genres and cultures and act like they totally understand the context for all of it and go "okay, this part's good, this part's bad, this part's bad, this part's good."
using 'nu-male' unironically
Yeah, I'd be willing to bet that a big part of the appeal for a lot of this stuff comes from how it reduces pearl-clutching internet hall monitors to sputtering outrage. And, honestly, there is something satisfying about liking stuff that dorks whose idea of cutting-edge is the Hamilton soundtrack don't understand.
If there's one thing metalheads will respond well to, it's being lectured about the morality of their genre by a website that reviews maybe one metal album every three months.
Top 5:
1. Automatic for the People
2. Monster
3. Murmur
4. Lifes Rich Pageant
5. Green
Not yet, I'll check it out.
