If nothing else, I expect the next four years to kill the idea that the republican party should be treated as anything but an actively malicious organization of nihilistic theocrats. It's not a normal political party anymore, but a lot of people don't seem to have picked up on that.

There are plenty of much better and funnier ways to make fun of Trump. What they're doing now feels like a cop-out. They've developed a largely well-earned reputation as contrarians with no real beliefs, and this kind of lends that more fuel.

The trailer for Watchmen is probably the best trailer ever made, while the movie wasn't really anything special - with the exception of the title sequence, which was amazing. I think that sums up Snyder. He can do short sequences incredibly well but nothing long-form.
