I don't mean that in a "I understand music on a deeper level than everyone else" way, I mean I get way too sensitive about people insulting things I like.

I think I probably get a little too invested in the stuff I like to appreciate it as much as other people did.
I feel like I'd probably like Hamilton, but I'm waiting to listen until the insane hype dies down so I can appreciate it on its own merits. And, honestly, getting into Chapo Trap House hasn't exactly made me more eager to hear it.
Thank god.
They're in the same category as, like, fun. and Foster the People. That sort of semi-indie thing. I'd put "Harlem" in the same category as fun.'s "Some Nights," which is legitimately one of my favorite pop songs ever, so I can't be too hard on it.
BUM DA DUM DA DUM DUM BUM DA DUM DA DUM
I can't help it, I'm a sucker for basically all of the anthemic indie pop that came out in 2013.
For a good part of 2015 I listened to Kendrick's "King Kunta" and Modest Mouse's "Dashboard" every morning to get my blood pumping. Lately Radiohead's "Burn the Witch" and the New Pornographers' "Brill Bruisers" have been serving that purpose for me.
this is so stupid
You have to justify your taste that way now. If you can't explain why you like or dislike something it has to become political.
I will never forget the amazing week that gave us both the Rapaport/Chapo feud and Angela & Strawberry.
Kanye kind of sucks now as much as it pains me to say it
I hate it when I call an entire style of music hollow and write off everyone making it as sad-sack fake male feminists, and then people have the nerve to criticize me for it
this is going to be fucking awful
Beautiful.
His whole style is chump, duke!
I also adore AJJ. Knife Man is one of my favorite albums of the last decade.
all the more reason to do it
THIS MACHINE SUCKS DICKS
I agree with this. I don't think I expressed myself very well in the above comment.
