Watch Comic Strip's The Strike instead.

AD&D or GTFO

Giving this town an enema

One of the many things I love about this show are the accents. Joe Kennedy's Bawwwstan drawl is an utter delight and another fine addition. But to that end I was a little disappointed they recast Carolyn Rothstein. She had a brief appearance in S2, played by Jennifer Ferrin, and had a delicious Fran Drescher-type

Oh crap, I hadn't even thought of that. Are things about to go all Orestes?

"The pervert symbolizes obviousness!"

The guy sure knows how to pick his henchmen.

"I have a sense of humor!"

Anyone notice the Modigliani in the scene where Nuck was talking to his Cuban ear collector? Impeccable work by the props crew.

He doesn't deliver dialogue - he hurls it, pitching it like a ball at your face.

Fucking clouds, how do they work?

Of her quotable comments, her most famous found its way to a pillow on her settee: "If you haven't got anything good to say about anybody, come sit next to me."

Handel's Sarabande.

Their performance at Live Aid was the apogee of awesome, a Nuremburg Rally for a generation that just wanted to rock. It changed my life.

The soundtrack props up the entire movie. It's basically a glorified music video (and great fun if appreciated as such).

Proto-Bud Dwyer was clearly driven to it by the Disney movie. Mickey pushed him over the edge.

And is it just me or does the bodygiard look a little like Harry Belafonte?

I love the colour of the flashbacks, at times they almost seem like tinted period photos come to life. The moody hues of the chain gang sequence was also really striking.

Don't worry AV Club, everything's going to be fine!

A lot of heavy-set Italian men walking around with cut hands in the 30's.
