Didn't stop my father.

Pats was created in 1944, Millie in 1945.  They both spring from the classical romance-era teen comics, and their paths have overlapped a lot ever since.  (Check out Colleen Coover for some brilliant modern stuff).

I'm Danish and Catholic.  Some Irish got in there somewhere.  And I've never thought it was unrealistic in the slightest

Cosgrove exchange of the week:

His wife gets cigarette burns on the carpet, and DON'S the decadent one?  Tres douche.

The book Don was reading was "The Fixer" by Bernard Malamud.  Moral of the story : "there is no such thing as an apolitical man, especially a Jew."

Alicia Witt, oh yeah.

I would give a lot for a Patsy "Hellcat" Walker movie.

It's like my childhood in moving 8-bit montage form.

Halloween 3.  It has Dan O'Herlihy.

Indeed it was 'Gamera'.  This failure is unforgivable, I shall now commit sudoku.

Hey girl!

Roger's trip, my god.  Even exposure to searing universal truths didn't break his stride.

The quickie in the cinema reminded me of Don and Lane's little jaunt to 'Gojira' that time.

Well I actually had her picked for a Coal Miner's Daughter remake so this is something of a relief, comparatively.

Liberace?

Katers gonna kate.

Titus Groan of the Gormenghast novels.  His incessant angst and remarkable ability to do absolutely nothing makes him a lousy hero.  Most readers find themselves empathizing more with the villain Steerpike.

Suprised Amelie didn't read this

That's "Jerries", the old wartime moniker.  The shadow of the war really hung over that game.
