now, every time I see/hear eric ripert, I always flash back to one time on Top Chef when Bourdain referred to him as "My esteemed colleague, The Ripper".
I personally would prefer that, but I think the problem there is that Top Chef's great success is attracting people who otherwise don't really care about food to watch a show where that's the center of focus.
