Theme is important, absolutely, but the impact of that theme is lost if the characterization, the plotting, all that is done poorly and ineffective. It's kind of hard to care about the women when they're repeatedly characterized as simply whores (with the exception of the Mistress of the bordello, who makes the fatal mistake of having sex with

I think Donna nailed it, frankly. For a shootout where a bunch of people die, it seems pretty low stakes.
