People love robot penises, right?

Oh "The Greater Good," The only justification movie villains will ever need ever again.

I suppose you have a point, but I'm having a hard time thinking of any alliance officer with a name or title who wasn't pretty mustache twirly. Dobson beat a helpless old man, Hands of blue guys, That asshole who was the main character on The Sentinal. Even the guy chasing them in the movie was, well, not evil per se.

Like I said above, if you have a code, fine. But Villains can have codes too, and part of the defining trait is what you are and aren't willing to do to follow that code.

There's this part in the pilot where Mal tells Simon, "If I kill you, you'll be awake and armed," or some such, but in the very next episode, he kills a man who's not only unarmed, but bound and helpless. Yeah, he's threatening, but is that a Robin Hood move? Murdering someone because they threaten you? Yes he steals

SPOILER SPOILER But the hands of blue guys are pretty influential in their government, and  when the walk around murdering everyone on the ship who even came in contact with River, that's some Darth Vader evil right there.

Well, if you take out the slavery issue, then things get a little more cut and dry. Mal would probably be less likable if he forced Shepherd Book to work out in the Space Fields.

Argh, you are both correct. I am properly shamed.
