I dunno, I think the music seems less overproduced recently. They still do the pitch-correct/autotune thing, but it seems more subtle. I am still sort of against it, but I was partially won over by the commenters who suggested that the musical numbers were all about the kids' own fantasies of their performance.

Fair point.

Geeks unite!
Just to point out:

Look at you—
In those candy-ass monkey suits.
And I thought I had it bad in Joliet.

Of course, all the farmers could just use the same photo album.

ONE NIGHT WITH YOUR WHAT?

I dunno, I think a movement is occurring, it's just that when you see it on the ground, it doesn't look much like one. Maybe it won't last— However, the fact is that more people are buying from farmer's markets, more people are joining CSAs, even McDonald's and Burger King are trying harder to accomodate people

"too graphic?" what kind of business are we talking about here?

I guess I don't know why I think it's a big school. In my memory of the earlier episodes, lots of the outside shots seemed to show a campus-type high school and not just one large building. A school that can make $1200 selling (pot-laced) cupcakes would need a pretty good student population. Also, a school with a

Wheelchair access
I know this is meant to be the Midwest, where things move slowly, but there's no way that a huge high school like that would still only have one wheelchair ramp in 2009. The Americans with Disabilities act passed when George Bush I was in office.

Those video-game graphics really caught my 8-year-old attention on MTV.

There are certain songs that I only associate with work, because they played constantly in the background of my job every night. Hall and Oates aren't on that list, but I can sympathize.

So, like, are they a couple or what?

Not such a great use of "you're," though.

My partner used to experience them…He responded pretty well when I told him to settle down and just go back to sleep. He'd wake up thinking there were bugs coming…He'd be headed for the door. Strangely, he hasn't had them since we got a dog.

My thoughts
I'm surprised how many of the AV Club writers confessed to not particularly enjoying horror movies.

No one's ever really disputed how clever and surprising the first "Matrix" movie was. It didn't scare me, but it did give me the heebie jeebies for a while.

Isn't it more likely that Astro Boy is meant for International markets?

Agreed on the zoot suit. What I really liked was how disarmed she got when a man actually asked her out. For a few seconds, there was another Sue in her place…She wasn't as funny, but she was almost human.
