Actually, it would be very complicated to have a contestant take home a million dollars, because if they paid you more money to cover the taxes on a million, you would then be taxed on the total they gave you, not the million. There would be a point when you would take home a million, of course, but it would cost a

Rabbit ears are awesome! In Canada, you can get "The Daily Show" with rabbit ears. (It's run by CTV in Canada—broadcast TV—one of their many media outlets is also The Comedy Network, which is just what you'd think it is)

Entertaining
I don't care what y'all say…I was in the mood for some laughs last night, and I thought they were all pretty funny. I liked the new Simpsons opening, and I even thought they managed to do a flashback without messing with the continuity of the characters too much.

I thought Simon telling Tatiana not to be annoying for once was better.

They eliminated one room of finalists…That created the 54.

The Hearst Mansion is not in Hollywood. It's somewhere on the CA coast around Big Sur, I think. Google it, or wait for the correction from someone who actually knows.

It's too bad you can't call a number to vote AGAINST someone.

He looks like the guy from "Greatest American Hero."

I'm pretty sure it was HER avoiding THEM…She didn't want their lack of star power to dull her lustre.

I was likewise disappointed that Tatiana is still in. But I'm holding out hope for a serious meltdown when they tell her to get stuffed at the judges mansion (WTF?).

I will not be buying one of these, but…

It's far too late to do anything about that.

Actually, to clarify, I just meant people too old to audition for AI, not necessarily seniors…open to all comers, not just the under-whatever age limit.

Don't get me wrong, at heart I'm a socialist. But how many people that lay their hands on a $60 ticket will actually go to the show, and how many will sell them for a profit on e-bay? None, I guess, if Ticketmaster skips that step and does it themselves.

I think "stepped on a land mine" would be a good lyric in that song, though.

Wow, you could do this all night, eh?

Maybe they took her back because they wanted to hitch a ride on her crazy train—sure-fire way to get on TV.

Final 36?
Is that what they've always done? I thought it was final 24. If they do a final 36, does that mean they can do 3 nights of 12 performances and a 4th night elimination show of 3 people? Or could they really try to squeeze in 18 performers in one night?
