How is Truffaut not on this list?

Drop the series. It's pointless. Cheeky horseshit where some one's subjective opinion is traipsed out and lets everyone have a laugh( I guess) at other people's art. You don't like Nickelback?( Which is a common trend in musical superiority circles) Who gives a shit what you think? Who the fuck cares what other people

I find it alarming that the creators of this series choose artists whose overall song catalog suck donkey balls.  It's all part of AV Club's trend of "If it doesn't have the 'Punk' edge it's lame." Punk sucks folks. Always has. Always will.

Oh, so we're are basing their merit on how 'cool' they are? That's logical.  I forgot that it's style first these days and music second.

Odd, no mention of arguably the most unique, talented, and successful  power trios of all time: The Police.

Sadly, if you want to make money in today's paradigm, you're best off selling out and selling your music to Cadillac or Colgate. Hit the road and tour. Grind it out. And write better music.

As a 10 year old leaning towards guitar, I have to say Van Halen's Fair Warning is the album from my past that still plays regularly in my mix. And it still blows the doors off of the car.

You had me at "Hello" .

Easily one of the limpest Bond entries in years. Sluggish exposition and none of the fun that make a Bond film work. You can't be brooding AND cheeky at the same time. Choose the latter. If I want brooding spies with exhilarating  action and smarts, I'll watch a Bourne movie. I might give this film an A- if I had

Avengers=Meh.

Oh, the Oscars happened? I was busy at my lobotomy. Did The Guard win anything? Was it even nominated? I didn't think so.

If you had to line graph the arc of Entourage it would begin relatively high for it's bawdiness and freshness. Ari had some of the best lines on TV for the first two seasons and every 'guy' who watched the show envied the lifestyle and flesh these characters were immersed in. The graph would then head directly south

Cohen
Since most of these tracks aren't worthy of the steam off the Beatles shit, if I had to choose out of this lot, I would choose Cohen's 'Hallelujah'. With such a ridiculous criteria presented there is no other choice. What about the criteria that includes if the song is ANY FUCKING GOOD? ' Timeless tracks,

No Rocco No way.
Why would I want to spend anytime with this smug douche?

The Verdict is..
The Verdict which may be Newman's best role and one of the best films set in Boston. Off the beaten path goes to The Hill. A good, not great, prison war drama with Connery in solid form.

hushed word..
Rosebud…

The Allen remark…
I have to agree with the Woody relation. They way Louie stammers through his intellect while being absolutely hilarious at the same time is classic Allen.
