To be fair, Lorelai's aversion to doing laundry is pretty well-established in the first season (to the point where, if I remember correctly, she jokes about going commando). That said, the Chilton scene's the roughest spot of an otherwise exceptional pair of opening eps.

This Bob's Burgers ep reminded me more of Home Movies than Simpsons with its use of homages, specifically Law & Border, which opens with an excellent, straight-faced riff on Bleu: http://www.youtube.com/watc…
