In an era of increasingly expensive animation labor costs, the proliferation of CG and the death of conventional animation, I'm amazed that Nick not only greenlighted this show but seemed to have also bumped up the budget, and slightly terrified to know how much all this costs. Seriously, this thing is beautiful.

You…you play World in Conflict? I thought I was one of the last players on earth

Wow…I never noticed that. Those crafty bastards

Seems about right

I guess all that rearranging DID serve a purpose

Meh, I know Byrke said there would be romance in the series but I was really hoping for the three main characters to just be bros with each other and ship with peripheral characters.
Maybe (hopefully) this will kill some of the obsessive shipping that corrupted the original series fandom.
Probably not.

If you see a thread marked "spoiler" I'm pretty sure you can minimize the entire thread

Yep, you can do that.

SPOILERS FOR KORRA
So…how 'bout that canon Mako/Korra relationship?

One word: Siiimmmmmmmmmmms!!!!!!!

"I'll give you two a moment to decide"
Maybe my favorite line from the whole series

I feel like most people do believe that Zuko and Katara should have been together, but at that would mean siding with the  "Zutaran" fanbase, which during the show's height was startlingly rabid and pumping out an alarming amount of disturbing fan fiction and art.As an unofficial correspondent to 4chans Comics and

I hate to be that guy but…I have no idea what your referencing

Bolin: You know…I just assumed of the Watertribe getup…that you were a Watertribe…girl

Sun Chief: Now
that you have learned the secrets and you know about our tribe's
existence, we have no choice but to imprison you here… forever.
Zuko and Aang: (terrified expressions)
Sun Chief: (Smiles) Just kidding. (Serious again) But seriously, don't tell anyone.

It appears that DiMartino and Konietzko are planning on trolling the shit out of the shippers again just like they did after they found out about that particular…"peripheral demographic" during the first series. Which is fantastic since in my opinion shipping of any kind, let alone in an (admittedly smart and genre

I was thinking that maybe the "tech levels" of the nations are different in this show like in the last one. For example with the Earth Kingdom city being the baseline, maybe the Water tribe has fewer, older cars (fingers crossed for snowmobiles) while Fire Nation stuff is more streamlined and Art Deco looking

First of all, the I think the first episode was great (I can't explain why, but I love it when the bum is talking about how pretty his bush/house is, and the bush sparkles loyally).
What I'm worried about is that keeping the series in a central location will get stale after a while. Yes there's lots of potential for

Just in case AV Club was wondering, Team Korra announced that they are officially releasing both the first (leaked) episode and the second (unleaked) one on the net this weekend in silky smooth HD

You must have seriously underestimated the Avatar fanbase.
