I completely agree. I heard his podcast in a friend's car once. He was giving dating advice and it sounded straight up like the pep-talks I hear bros giving each other at the gym. I kept thinking, "I must be easily offended these days, because I'm really not digging this." But I'm pretty sure that's not the case.

I really like the observation about the "weight" of this show. One thing I noticed during this episode is that Claire Danes totally nails the "freaked the fuck out" face, especially when she realizes she's wrongly accused someone of being a terrorist.

Anyone else recognize the music in the (lack of) end tag? I thought that was a nice little detail to end with.

So, I was in the "maybe the show isn't just a soapbox for Sorkin! Maybe McAvoy is going to learn how much of an arrogant prick he's being, and we'll all grow together!" camp. Until I read that interview. Sad.

Glad I'm not the only person who thought, "Olivia Munn getting hired for her looks? How original."
You gotta wonder how that scene would have went if it was Jack McCoy giving her the promotion instead of Mac. I think you're justified in feeling uncomfortable about this (and what it means for the characters), but I'm…
