Fan casting for Oberyn? Oded Fehr. I saw dozens of mentions of him as right for the role.

Yeah, he's said it was the last thing he wrote for ASOS and the hardest thing to write in the entire series. There's no way he wanted to do it again.
That was fucking spectacular. I want to share it with everyone I've ever met and then overexplain it and then have them look at me like I'm a weirdo who watches shows where people get turned into lizards.
Starring in our late, late, show
Sailing away to Key Largo
Yes, I'm aware of that. But since Irri is dead (NOOOOOOOO RIP IRRI YOU WERE THE BEST), if they want to have those scenes in the show, they needed someone beholden to Dany. The logical choice would be an age-appropriate Missandei, or, I guess, Jhiqui showing up after having been hiding behind Jorah for the last two…
Because their whole thing is to protect the smallfolk? They're not doing this because they'll get rich or for glory or because any king will reward them. They're fighting because it's right.
I suspect/hope/don't really hope because that makes me feel pervy/hope that's why they aged up Missandei, who in the books was like 10.
Yeah, but he doesn't give a fuck. He's not out there scheming or demanding more because he thinks he's so smart. Jaime just wants to kill shit and fuck Cersei, and being not-that-smart doesn't make a bit of difference in either of those things.

And (I'd forgotten we had these) two Barristan chapters:

There's an Arianne chapter on his website now, there's a video of GRRM reading a Victarion chapter (though from what I hear, it's actually not the entire chapter), and there are summaries of a Tyrion chapter and another Arianne chapter.
It's a lot like Sonny Corleone in the Godfather books. It's a shame that was cut out of the movie, and I'm glad they seem to be keeping that plotline in the show.
Yeah, I pretty much thought this episode was an episode of television that didn't make me actively regret watching it. But it wasn't anything more than that.
I think for a visual medium, that Davos confrontation with Stannis and Mel worked better than just being thrown in jail would have. In the books, we have the buildup in Davos' mind, and the trouble even getting in the castle, and then a demonstration of Mel's power. But the show needed to do more things with that…
I've heard rumors that it is, which I think is a big mistake (if true). It worked for Blackwater because it was built up to be a massive battle beforehand, whereas the RW is supposed to blindside you. The focus on Camp Robb seems pretty likely to tip the viewers off that Something Will Happen.
Reckoner, that was the most perfect description of anything in the history of the world.
WHY DO I HAVE TO BE ONLINE TO COMMENT ABOUT THIS
Apparently, the TNG episode The Neutral Zone takes place on Stardate 41986.0, Vvvvv
She had a sister in the Amber universe, but she didn't appear in the show. It was mentioned that she and her husband were still together and that they had at least one kid in addition to Ella.
The parenthetical for It's Alright Ma was originally (It's Life and Life Only), which is a line that does actually appear in the song, but Dylan changed it. (I'm Only Bleeding) does seem to add something to the song.
Everyone's more ruthless, but he's pretty much outlived them all. He seems to be doing okay.
