They could have, but didn't bother. My point still stands about all the other stuff that they did take pains to change.

You must have missed the hordes of wailing fanboys crying out for their lost boners upon Tate's casting, then. (Which, granted, I'm not a straight man, but Tate can get it. So that was confusing.)

I know no one cares about this but this show IS NOT SET IN CANADA. It is set in America. Budget constraint means they aren't trying really hard to disguise that it's Toronto (hence the local geographical references and licence plates) but it's clearly meant to be a generic American city, not Canadian. The CN Tower

That conference room can't actually be at UMinn though, right? I've never seen that room before but all the outside campus work in this episode was done at Trinity College, U of T - I assume the room is also at U of T. There are a few programs/faculties that are bursting at the seams with alumni cash.
