I agree with the sentiment, but I would characterize a five-year relationship spanning the height of Beatlemania as something more than "brief". She was filming and rehearsing for stretches of that, I'm sure, but that's a decent chunk of time.

From what i remember, he wasn't an American citizen. He got a green card in the seventies, and would be qualified to apply for citizenship, but he was killed before that date.
