Yeah, I don't know. But it would be pretty lame if the master schemer character just turned out to be another dime a dozen Dany supporter.

There was something about that Varys-Tyrion scene that made me think that maybe Varys is the leader of the Harpies. I feel like the story is building towards a reveal of the Harpy, and Varys is the only named character in Meereen who would fit.

I don't like Sand Snakes. They're coarse and rough and irritating, and they can get everywhere.

How about the use of shields? The only guy I've seen with one recently was that one asshole Bolton soldier tonight, and he kept it on his back the whole time while fighting. And he got stabbed in the back for all his troubles anyway. What a schmuck!

I'm pretty sure Littlefinger was the one who told Cersei about the Bolton betrayal. Now he's marching on the North with the Vale army with the support the Lannisters. I can't remember, but I think Cersei told him she'd give him the North if he did captured Winterfell and brought her Sansa. Littlefinger's a creeper

But surely he'd know by now that if Cersei was set on killing Trystane, keeping him anchored just a half-mile off the coast wouldn't guarantee his safey anyway.

I get that, and I would have been fine with it if Melisandre had acted as if burning Shireen was a necessary evil in aid of a greater goal. But she was so callous and gleeful about the whole thing that it will be hard to see her as anything but evil from that point on.

Or even better, if it was exactly like the sixth season. Line for line.

Are we going to be expected to feel sympathy for Melisandre this season? Because after watching her smiling smugly while burning a 12-year old alive and then bragging about it to the girl's dad the next morning, that's going to be a pretty tough ask.

Then there's also the question of why the Lannisters apparently left him on the ship after finding out that the Martells obviously poisoned Myrcella. You'd think Cersei and Jaime would have wanted to lock Trystane away in the Red Keep as soon as they landed, instead of leaving him in a lavish, lightly guarded cabin.

Surely the best Middle-Earth example would be Smaug? Built up as a big badass the whole book, then gets killed by Laketown archer #2.

I dunno, it seems pretty shortsighted to send every single orc in Mordor to confront Aragorn at the Black Gates. Especially since we've already established that Mordor pretty much impenetrable. Aragorn, pretending that he has the ring and is coming to get Sauron, forces Sauron into hasty action, taking advantage of

It's the death cry of a Bothan.

You've already made that same joke about Broadchurch, Boardwalk Empire and Bored To Death, you lousy hack.

So, what this teaser is telling us is that characters have died on this show before? And that more characters could potentially die this season? Got it.

Wasn't there a scene last season where Cersei gave Littlefinger the OK to attack Winterfell? I feel like Littlefinger is just going to take over Stannis' role, for whatever reason.

Aww, look at Arya, acting like she didn't just accidentally break that vase while making her way down those stairs.

(I can't get no) E-erection!
