I didn't like those "scary movie" movies much, but there's a genius scene with James Woods as a priest, and he walks in on the possessed little girl whose head is turning around and spewing vomit, and he says, "Fuck this." and just leaves. So great.
Man, the Last Exorcism was so great right up until the idiotic ending! Great characters and an interesting reason for this all to be on film. And I really enjoyed not knowing if it was abuse or a demon. It was so smart and then SO stupid.
@AnneNoise:disqus I found it boring and worse - shrill for the most part, but loved the scares. Unfortunately, that just made me angrier that the movie around them was so inept.
It's pretty weird to see all those [laugh]s left in the interview. One or two give context to a changed wording mid-sentence, but here it just seems like, well, why not edit them out for readability?
Yeah the Mist! Such a great old fashioned tales from the crypty sort of ending? Like, just bleak for the sake of being bleak.
