First off, this shit is over a week old. If you're going to turn AVC into Digg, at least try to stay current. Second, it's really not that great. Third, I used to think of the AVC as a place to read interesting in-depth pop culture articles, not another regurgitator of strident internet forum politics. An article

"…the front page of the share-your-personally-designed-burger site was essentially 'a non-stop parade of the world’s most racist sandwiches.'"

I don't know who is appeased by the influx of political content. Does that bring clicks? Sad!

Nail on the head. I do not come to AVClub for politics. The writers here do not do politics well. But now they're doing it ALL THE TIME, especially in the fucking newswires. Sadly, O'Neal's latest posts have continued this trend. AVC, this is not your wheelhouse.

Damn, that's fucking depressing. And true. I hope the poor staff doesn't read this comment, because they will probably run directly into traffic.

He did say "outwardly," but yes

Excellent article, thanks for the perspective.

Here's a hint: it's a one-song concert

It says "Yes"

It's relatively safe in a large group. If you all move around a bit, he can't pick out an individual to prey on.

I wouldn't call this the bare minimum, because I can't think of anything more severe that they could legally do that ban a user. It's not like Twitter can arrest you.

You guys should go easy on each other.

This episode had the real Steven Power-Up. It was kind of surprising to see him intentionally working to resolve issues between Pearl and Greg - previously, he has always done so reactively. I contend that Steven's true ultimate power is his ability to bring people together. I predict that the ultimate battle of

Now that I've thought about it, it occurs to me that sour cream and guacamole usually go well together.

I feel like Steven is definitely being drawn to look a little older…I'm seeing it in the face. Also, I think Callison's line readings are a little deeper. Subtle stuff.

The fish-out-of-water thing was a very popular concept in the 80s, from Splash to ET to Small Wonder.
