Having spent time in the Pacific Northwest, I have to say that their version of rain is some seriously pathetic shit.  The point of rain is that you go indoors and enjoy it from there.  In Seattle (and presumably Portland), what they call "rain" is actually what the rest of us call "heavy mist," and instead of fading

I'm disappointed that it required so much open speculation about the situation before the AVC decided to post this article.  Keith was very important to this site, and regardless of reader interest, deserved a warm public send-off from the site he was so central in building.

I got married in Hawaii (Kauai to be exact) this May.  We specifically chose Hawaii because (1) Kauai is heaven on Earth and (2) to keep the guest list down.  Almost nobody came, and it turned out to be quite a bit cheaper than many stateside weddings.  Also 95% less bullshit and 100% more awesome.  The only thing

Actually, the Abominable Snowman freaked me the hell out as a kid, too.  Something about those big starey eyes.

It doesn't hurt that it accompanied a breathtaking opening credit sequence.

Augmented reality TV?  That sounds like a huge technical challenge, but potentially interesting.
