Listen, the long term damage is NOT debatable. It's not even like you have to check the evidence, though it exists. Just look at the regulations, and you'll realize that boxing is far more traumatic on the brain.

I think Whitney's pretty off in calling his AVClub interview a "hit piece," unless it was a lot more heavily edited than he indicated. Just because people in the comments section talk shit about him doesn't mean that the interview was unfair. The interview didn't make him look bad, it's just that the readers of this…
Penn's got atmosphere, sometimes far too literally, but I don't see it as the least bit cinematic. Even in a post apocalyptic setting, you want to be get that panoramic shot of the smoking ruins, which is impossible if you're actually in said ruins.
Bangbus: Cleveland sounds like the worst idea for an internet business, ever.
Sounds more like a Batman villain than a new trend.
Lone Star is (or was…it seems a bit heavy-handed to me these days) one of my favorite films. A lot of Sayles stuff tends to downplay the melodrama, which is sometimes "subtle" and sometimes comes off a little dry to those of us used to more mainstream stuff. Still, I don't know if I would ever call him "spotty,"…
No.
Had the "pleasure" of seeing him live. He's one of those comedians who accuses the audience of being PC when they laugh insufficiently at his jokes.
You don't have to worry about viruses if you're watching a video or listening to music. Just don't run any executables that you get from any source that you don't completely trust. But if you're worried about getting a virus from a video, then you might not even know what I'm talking about.
Lt. Obvious, my experience is similar. It might just be us. I reserve judgment, tempting as it may be to accuse others of being pretentious. It's possible we just don't "get" it, and there's nothing wrong with that.
Archmage, your friend missed a crucial piece of the puzzle:
It's his charming gimmick. He really seems to get worked up about it.
As for me, I'm wondering when we're finally going to get a Smurf-themed gimmick poster.
I don't watch PR…maybe it's because they are younger on SYTYCD (correct me if that's not true)?
I can understand why people get excited about a movie, but it's harder to understand how someone can HATE a movie (one that hasn't even come out) unless it's like the film version of Mein Kamph. I truly don't care for or enjoy most movies, and but hatred is something I reserve for things like Michelle Bachmann.
This is what A+ is saved for?
It was good, but gimme a break. Considering all the stuff that doesn't get an A+, this seems all kinds of out of proportion.
jayrig5, I agree with your initial complaint: Bully was a better episode than this. However, instead of this episode deserving less than an A-, that episode deserved more.
Quite a letdown after the last two weeks, which went with serious professional dancers. At least they split the difference, although I wasn't totally in love with the ballet routine, either.
It seems really clear to me that Jon Snow is Azor Ahai from Melisandre's POV chapter. Remember she gets frustrated because she's trying to scry on Stannis but only sees Jon, and she is specifically trying to spot AA. I mean, unless that's a GRRM misdirect, it seems to spell it out pretty clearly.
They like to embarrass each other in unprofessional ways, apparently.
