I tried rewatching the first season of Six Feet Under, and then I remembered why I thought the show was stupid until the second season. Does anyone remember the pointless musical dream sequences? The show actually got better over time.

My girlfriend cringed watching some of the more intense (relatively speaking) action scenes during Spiderman 3. I have a feeling that this movie might not be for her.
Method Actor Man
LCJ, that's not a bad idea. When can you start?
I guess there's another president of FX than Landgraf, cuz he didn't say that.
Alan Moore shares your curiosity.
Great article/interview/newswire
As disappointed as I am about Terriers' cancellation, it's not all bad news. First of all, it's great to see AVClub and Sean get this kind of attention. It's also great to see a TV executive who cares about quality shows and devoted viewers. I think Landgraf makes some excellent…
WDIHOH, what in god's name are you talking about?
What's the guy supposed to say? If he says that the title and marketing sucked, he's basically chastising his marketing department publicly. He'll do that behind closed doors, if at all.
The loss of Terriers is dire, but Louie is in the same quality zip code (hard to compare, apples and oranges…they're both kick ass, that's all). Archer is usually very funny but does not stand up to either of those shows.
I'll go ahead and say the biggest mistake that they made was to call it "Terriers."
post.
Actually, Natronicus, you just heard about the show when you read this
Yeah, Bill Reed, I forgot about that. This episode definitely revealed interesting background material like that, and Shirley's wild years. Speaking of the latter, I should have seen that coming, but did not. In fact, if they had revealed in the first season, it probably would have seemed trite and unearned.
"One of my favorite moments in "Louie" was the post-confrontation cigarette between CK and the kid's father, which wasn't a funny scene at all, but its dramatic weight came from the entirety of the episode up to that point."
Count me in. I'll put it in my sig when I send another letter to FX. CAW!
How I envy you, Switters and JVS. I know Song of Fire and Ice are really hard to put down, but you might want to slow your progress a bit. When you reach the end (of what's currently been written), withdrawal sets in. I can't bring myself to curse GRRM's name, since these really are the best fantasy novels I've…
Steph also has a scruffy prettiness. The Logues are known as an extremely scruffy clan.
In "Assunder," Hank orders a double of Famous Grouse. Savage Fowl doesn't actually exist, so maybe they got in trouble for that reference.
The only thing that could stop Terriers from winning shitloads of awards (other than its low profile) is the fact that this has been a banner fucking kickass year for TV. I can think now of four specific episodes of different shows from 2010 that may have actually been the best four episodes of TV that I've ever…
