Stowrile, you failed by being funny.

eight hours?
"The game doesn't begin in earnest until its fifth chapter, almost eight hours after you start. "

Personally, I was very lukewarm about Modern Family at the start of the season, and raving about Community. Since then, I think MF has been developing strongly, and Community has had a few stumbles. At this point, I have a hard time comparing them. But hey, one's on Wednesday and one's on Thursday, so I don't have

And I never get why people need gloves to drive an X-wing. It's a fighter, not a star destroyer.

Yeah, softmore slump, I definitely caught that Ay-Bed, and I was waiting for a character to comment on that.

Hmm, well if it worked for y'all, I guess that's good enough for me.

Gag that didn't work
There were a lot (a lot) that did, but Britta's pronunciation of "bagel" was not even funny the first time they did it. Nobody really could have saved that joke…unless it was a reference I didn't get…

Todd, I'm with you that you don't have to catch all the references to appreciate this show. My girlfriend gets about 25% of them, and that doesn't stop her from loving it. Who knows, maybe it helps. By and large, I agree with pretty much everything you said this time around. Even when the comedy doesn't work, the

Yes, yes, yes on Tipsy. Trip Tease, and their new album, Buzzz, are truly wonderful (especially Trip Tease). You can skip the second one, but it still has some great tracks like XXXMas. Trip Tease in particular was the background music to many mid-nineties chemical excursions.

The thing is, no matter what Kring says, everyone is going to criticize it. Why? Because Heroes currently sucks. If he had argued that all the directions the show has gone since season one were fantastic decisions, and that everyone who said otherwise was a moron…obviously, someone else would have a problem with

@The Bourne Valedictorian

You were so right, zxcvb. Wait, no you weren't.

That's the thing, Jack didn't kill his fiance. Sawyer agreed to go along with Jack's plan, and it's not like Jack could claim some special knowledge. Blaming Jack is the act of a follower, and Sawyer had become a leader during his three years in the past. Of course, things were falling apart very quickly, so it's

Yes, I do care about both timelines
There were a lot of moments that worked for me. Most of all, the closing scenes of Jack and Locke talking belied Mr. Smoke's comments, just prior, about how broken Locke was. In fact, Terry O'Quinn showed us what a terrific actor he can be by how easily he played Locke's earlier

um i watched it: You're almost right. And yet, it's still mind-blowing, especially the 10-20 seconds of new video.

I agree with the comments about Jacobs. I think they are trying to settle into her character, and she seems to be moving towards a kind of Jeanine Garafalo type (if that can truly be said to be a type). The problem is that she's a little too put together for that kind of role as a sarcastic left-wing slacker.

Aw, don't blame my man Tatum. Blame the director. If you hate Mr. Channing, you probably haven't seen Fighting, where he's quite good (although outshone by Terrance Howard, but that guy is always great).

Tatum was great in Fighting, which is a scrappy little bareknuckle fighting movie that is definitely worth watching. Somehow, I don't think that this material was going to reflect well on anyone.

I saw this movie hoping that it would be the so-bad-it's-good trainwreck that was Assassins, another Antonio Banderas bomb about, well… You know, now that I think about it, Antonio Banderas spent the early part of his career playing assassins (well, maybe his character is Desperado is just a killer, but that's

Well if they are only allowed to do NappyTabs routines, that could be worse.
