Martha probably destroyed the receiver in the bathroom because the entire FBI office went on "lock down" once the bug was discovered. She knew a security search & scan was imminent and moved immediately to render the receiver "non-electronic."

I think there's a bit of overreaction to Kimmie's drive to spoil her purity. There have been millions of teenage girls who had first experiences with considerably older men who weren't psychologically destroyed for the rest of their lives. I know, it's shocking for you to digest, but it doesn't have to be a passport

I loved how Henry just wouldn't let anyone conclude the conversation without closing all of the open issues. It was equivalent to a child demanding to know why the sky was blue when nobody could provide an actual explanation.

Phillip will never need to consummate with Kim now that he has introduced a new path of ecstasy to the teen: religious fever.

Wow, the past is dead? Thanks, I was worried about history repeating itself. Thank God that never happens.

I get the sense that JimmySteveJack returning to Fiona's life has more sinister implications for the show (and perhaps his intentions). The way he arrived in the car with the woman, staring at Fiona's house, saying he's not ready "to go in" yet (as if his appearance would be a welcomed surprise). I don't know,

Any mention of Minutemen still inspires me to acknowledge their awesomeness. I listened to 55 on the 10 almost non-stop in my 20s. and it still sounds as fresh today as it ever did. Fuck, Boon, why'd ya have to lay down in the back of that van in AZ? Feed a fever, brother, don't sleep it off. Modern music is

I was going to write what you wrote, but you wrote it so I'm just writing to say I agree with every point you made. Jasmine is insufferable in my eyes. My younger brother is married to a similar woman, who's domineering but hot, and the rest of our family talks about her being such a control freak behind their back.

They did not fire Sarah Ramos, she just left the show last season as a regular character. Jason Katims is willing to bring her back for guest spots and stated a couple months ago, “It’s always a question of finding the right story combined with Sarah’s availability.”

This will work. Nothing can replace what we've lost (BB) or what we're losing (MM), but I believe this show will give us a compelling drama about modern humanity (despite its mid-century setting) that will grow deeper with every episode and every season.

I'm way late to reply, but I agree with most of what you wrote. Ryan's very interesting and well acted, but I never bought in to the rationale for Amber to fall in love with him. Amber is a little insecure, but she's so edgy, sensitive, street-wise and quirky; what does she see in Ryan? She's also probably a peacenik

Curiously, I was won back by this ep, as I thought it was measurably stronger than the last one. Namely, I laughed more. In any case, I'm adding this comment to promote AVC's continuing coverage of the series. Outside of B99, this is the best of the new formulaic comedies on network TV right now.

I'm marathoning Fringe on Netflix as well and I'm finally up to this episode. I've seen a couple of your other comments (I think it was you) and I always like people who comment long after the show originally aired. I've done this for some other shows, but it's not a very popular activity on AVClub, for sure.

I'll be watching this ep on demand later this week, but I have to chip in and contribute towards Will's desperate plea for 100 comments. This is a great show and deserves 100 comments!

How 'bout now? I've just begun bingewatching Fringe on Netflix. But I'm only reading these reviews after watching each episode. I can only make it through about 100 comments or so before escaping back to the next ep. And believe me, that's more than enough.

Sometimes I will try to affect the community grade by giving something an "A" even if I really thought it was a "B" because the community grade is a "C" and the review gave it a "D."

@avclub-e57f718840a576abbb40a7d046c4e3b0:disqus I hope you follow through on your promise; "I'm not ever going to see the show." You don't deserve to see it.

Just…insanely stupid to click on this article if you're trying to avoid spoilers. I avoided spoilers on Lost for THREE YEARS before I binge-watched the entire series on Netflix. And it wasn't that hard to do with just a few simple rules.
