It will be interesting to see what CBS and ABC put up against the NBC juggernaut during the mid-to-late 80s. I remember being upset circa 1987 because I loved The Charmings and Sledge Hammer!, but they were up against Cosby and Family Ties, and as a loyal American I had to watch NBC. I will give 10-year-old me

I always enjoy the annual half-hour Disney ad disguised as an episode of one of ABC's family sitcoms. Boy, did Black-ish make spending what is probably thousands of dollars to have your own personal tour guide lead you around the park all day seem awesome!

I suspect it's one of the effects of The Good Place…that you aren't bothered by tiny little details like nearly all your friends and family burning for all eternity while you enjoy your mansion and abundant frozen yogurt.

I don't blame you. Last year, my Rangers were up in the ALDS 2-0. Then we went back to Toronto…

I'm sure I've told this story on here before, but it's worth repeating…

Michael Giacchino

I was adopted at birth. So, would my mom have been eligible for Trump's leave? After all, she didn't give birth and didn't nurse me.

My brother lives in San Antonio. I need to ask him what their other commercials are like.

Do those best wishes include the thousands of Muslims he swears were celebrating in New Jersey?

Some of the local affiliate variations of the NBC campaign are on YouTube, and it's hysterical how most of them try to shoehorn either the station's number and/or call letters into the lyrics.

Don't forget how he thought that Beyonce's song about how she enjoyed having sex with her lawfully married husband was encouraging girls to get pregnant out of wedlock.

Not a clue, so I'll say Absolute Power and Blood Work
Has Britney Spears been in any other movies besides Crossroads?
The Nutty Professor
The Ladies Man
1939, Victor Fleming
Not a clue
Not a clue
Closer and…um…I'm not sure, so I'll say Alfie and Jane Got a Gun
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow?
?
Derek Jarman and Tilda

It's hard to argue against West Side Story, but 1995's Richard III with Ian McKellen is pretty terrific as well. I also have a soft spot for 10 Things I Hate About You, made during the time in Julia Stiles's life when she seemed determined to star in high school-set adaptions of all of Shakespeare's plays.

As pointless as it is to try to persuade Jasoomian, I'm going to leave this about the "Clinton Death Count" right here:

I will never understand how CBS had a sitcom starring arguably the most popular comic actress in the country, and couldn't figure out a way to make it a hit.

Today is my best friend emeritus's birthday. From 1991 on, he was extremely unhappy he had to share the day with Macaulay Culkin. He got his present early a couple weeks ago with his brand-new daughter, so I'm suspecting that he's probably too overjoyed and/or overtired to really care this year.

I don't think even Trump is delusional enough to think he's going to get much in the way of minority votes, no matter how many times he tells them "What have you got to lose?". He's trying to appeal to white suburban racists who don't realize they're racists, i.e. the types who think Dr. King is a true hero and will

They're not free-falling, but they're not rising. Since Clinton reached the peak of her post-convention bounce about 2 1/2 weeks ago, he's settled into a steady range of between 40 and 42%. Meanwhile, Clinton has settled into her own steady range of between 47 and 48%. That gap is well outside the margin of error

To be fair, neither party was particularly good on civil rights prior to 1965. Both parties had their share of racists, both parties had their share of civil rights supporters, and both parties had a lot of squishy people in the middle. Harry Truman, a Democrat, integrated the armed forces, and Dwight Eisenhower, a

"She's awful, folks, just awful! Her airline and steak businesses were total failures! And have you seen her Manhattan skyscrapers? They're terrible, folks! Just terrible! And her casinos failed! Tell me, how do you go out of business running casinos?"
