What? You didn't like the lengthy subplot in the book about Sonny's girlfriend with the huge vagina?

I think you're thinking of The Big Picture, Christopher Guest's first feature film. The Day of the Locust is mainly remembered today for having a lead character named Homer Simpson.

Hey, we have some good people here! Unfortunately, many of these people also think that Ted Cruz is doing an awesome job and should have been president.

After my partner died in March, I went back through his Facebook page and read his various entries describing his future plans. It was utterly heartbreaking.

You'd think, but comic actors would like to win Oscars, too.

At least it didn't destroy Jason Alexander's career:

I mainly remember the Christmas one, where Ronald shows up to ice skate with a bunch of kids, then spends some time with the youngest one, who was getting left out.

I haven't watched SVU since about halfway through the first post-Stabler season, since after he left, the show went from "let's see how many wacky twists we can stuff into the show this week!" to a remarkably boring procedural that actually took the various crimes of the week seriously. Have they drifted back into

Actually, The Nutt House was a Mel Brooks-created sitcom about the wacky goings-on at a fancy hotel. As I recall, it was a gag-a-second show, a la Police Squad (in color!). 12-year-old me thought it was hysterical. I was pretty much alone on this, as it was gone by Halloween.

I won't lie. I'm pretty disappointed. I'd love to meet someone who saw a performance during its 5 days on Broadway.

I'm assuming that this is going to be like The Jungle Book with photo-realistic CGI for the various cats. Because the alternative would be people leaping around in cat costumes, and that would look ridiculous on a movie screen—well, even more ridiculous than it did on Broadway.

The original Broadway run? Was it just as incredible as I've always heard it was?

Cats isn't even the worst Andrew Lloyd Webber musical.

I understand Sidney Poitier's son is supposed to be in charge of casting the extras.

I'm guessing that S&E were on to discuss the recently announced Oscar nominations, where Out of Africa and The Color Purple each got 11 nominations. They might have also talked about the new movies playing. Pretty in Pink opened that day, and Hannah and Her Sisters and Down and Out in Beverly Hills were still in

Maybe the occasional Shuffle Along.

Given that I pretty much only knew him from Match Game, it was fairly amazing to discover that he was a Tony winner who had been in the original casts of Bye Bye Birdie, How to Succeed…, and Hello Dolly. Paul Lynde was also in the original cast of Birdie, for what it's worth.

I'm not a huge hockey fan, but I do have hometown pride, and I'm not over the 2011 World Series yet, so…Go Stars! Kick Blue ass!

What's your predictions on who and what will be nominated for this year's Hamiltons…er…Tonys?
