Hey, at least you made the Series (and got to participate in a 5-game Series that was far more memorable than a lot of 7-game Series). My team blew a 2-game-to-0 lead in the ALDS in perhaps the most spectacular way possible.

That actually is really clever. As I said above, I don't think I saw any episodes of the series proper (though I do remember renting the pilot movie, mainly for the Toy Story segment at the very beginning), but maybe I should seek it out sometime.

That's right. I actually remember renting the original special from Blockbuster once upon a time. I don't know if I ever saw any episodes of the series proper, though.

To be fair, I don't remember ABC ever running Garfield. CBS would frequently team up Charlie Brown and Garfield, though.

Yeah, I don't know if his heart re-shrunk, or maybe it's a different Grinch, or what. I was meaning to address that aspect, but it ultimately got cut, along with the fact that, aside from the title, the word "Halloween" isn't spoken, or even implied during the special. It could have just as easily been titled

Nope. No songs from the original special show up in this one.

I'm liking Noah, but so far, he hasn't done too much to distinguish the show from the Stewart era.

He does have a lot more free time now.

The big cities are blue, as are the border counties, but the smaller non-border cities and the suburbs are all still red, as are the rural parts of the state. I do think there's a decent chance that the suburban counties around DFW, Austin, and Houston could become more purple over the next few years, which could go

To Buchanan's (very small) credit, he seemed to realize pretty quickly he had gotten himself way over his head. I also think that, by the time he took office, there really wasn't any way to head off the coming crisis. That said, it would have been nice if he had actually tried.

I find Giuteau to be an utterly fascinating character, to the point that he would make a good subject for a biopic, specifically focusing on the time from the 1880 election until his execution, with flashbacks to his earlier life.

The movie is awful, but the kid getting run over is genuinely shocking, since it's so rare to see kids get killed in horror movies, especially in such a horrific way.

I think CBS will be interested in hearing my pitch for Grumpy Old Men: The Series, starring Nicolas Hoult and Josh Hutcherson. Also Cocoon, starring Asa Butterfield and Nat Wolff.

Maybe it could also serve as not one but two backdoor pilots, as Nancy consults a pair of laid-back detective brothers she knows, while Marple talks to a persnickety Belgian police officer.
