Yes, couldn't agree more. I didn't care much for Apollo Justice, but I really enjoyed his return in Dual Destinies. All the cases cohered really nicely in a way only the original game managed to pull off. I think Dual Destinies is my favorite of the series too, despite a serious lack of Franziska von Karma.

I do that too. Sometimes the button pushers are smart enough to figure out what "substitute hamburgers" entails, but the register seems to make "cheeseburger, minus cheese" easier for some reason. I usually get a hamburger inside a cheeseburger wrapper with a "special order" sticker on it.

Genji, man, that trope is all over your life story! Granted some of it was before you were born, but still. The whole monogatari is kicked off by the Emperor's obsession with one particular concubine, who dies early on.

They really capture the feel of wandering around a dead planet. Sure, it's subjective. But almost every choice the designers made, from perspective to sound design, support the creation of that particular atmosphere. I'd argue that atmosphere is the most important part of those games. It's definitely what makes them

Beyond Good and Evil! Pretty much a perfect game in every way, except they left the door open for a sequel that didn't happen.

My favorites are Persona 3 and 4 - just pick whichever basic plot appeals more to you, they are both excellent and neither one depends on knowledge of the others in the series.

The Megami Tensei series, which has spawned a bunch of "side stories" that are franchises in their own right (Persona, Raidou Kuzunoha, Digital Devil Saga, etc.). Persona has taken up the Final Fantasy mantle of anthology storytelling with similar but not identical game mechanics, IMO.

Great interview. Thanks for asking about Stay Tuned, one of my favorite little-watched films! "Satan's cable network" is such a great concept, Ritter and Dawber are terrific (as are Jeffrey Jones and Eugene Levy) and they absolutely nailed the tone of funny yet genuinely threatening. A remake with updated parodies…..

There are other sites?

Complex? I think not. God keeps them a-spinnin' and that's all you need to know.

Great link, thanks for sharing. '“It was clear how the piece was going to be used in the film. The painting was to have a clear and dramatic reaction, and this influenced how I approached the content and composition,” Pellegrino said.'

In the scenario outlined above, which one is Satan and which one is Saddam Hussein? Asking for a friend.

The words "elliptical" and "elegiac" in film reviews are like a reverse Bat-signal for me.

I was going to make fun of you for thinking about women the way toddlers think about cookies. But then I got to the end and realized I actually have no idea what you're talking about.

Jesse Martin? Oh God, I hope so. I would love to see him get nekkid.

What! That's one of my all-time faves! If you want to see the whole episode, it's "An Affair to Forget". But here's the key scene:

"I keep my feelings to myself, I never bother anyone with them. Isn't that the "nice" thing to do?"

BOX SET BITCHES!!!

If you're interested, just read it yourself. It's not that long.

@ZTO:disqus On top of all that, you're still getting goddamn blueberries out of treasure chests in the final dungeon! I hated that game, but your enthusiasm for its awfulness is heartwarming.
