Clocktower 3 had awesome monster designs, and the first chapter was legitimately amazing. To me it seemed like they just cheaped out after the first chapter: less story, less interesting level design, shorter stages, fewer secrets to find, etc. That's why I can't recommend it.

The "true" ending of Persona 4 is so well-hidden it may be that the wrongness of the bad ending is supposed to be a clue that there is another, better ending available.
