All that picture needs is "Christmastime is here" alt-text.

Dude, did you get stuck in a time loop?

Yeah, GWB was a guy who totally gave a fuck…..

Maybe, but I suspect the reason they fought Obamacare tooth and nail is because they knew perfectly well it would work.

A theater workshop?!??!

There is no such thing as a "widescreen" Citizen Kane. That film and its contemporaries were originally filmed in 4:3 aspect ratio, then the MPAA standard. Television copied that standard format, and wider formats didn't become common until the '50s, when Hollywood started to seriously compete with the burgeoning

Gee, it's too bad the good ol' NRA shut down efforts to study gun violence. Can't imagine why that would be!

Am I the only one who loved the nuts-n-bolts GHOSTS parts of Ghostbusters? The ghost taxonomy, enemy designs, and implementation of Tobin's Spirit Guide (a perfect tie-in opportunity for Dan Aykroyd, as it seems to be his main interest) were my favorite parts of this game.

Things I Never Noticed About Ghostbusters When I Was a Kid: Egon surreptitiously signing "4" at Venkman while Venkman is doing his gameshow host thing at the Sedgewick.

This is the same "right" that voted down the Lily Ledbetter pay equality law, yes? And the same "right" that also voted down the Anti Violence Against Women Act, yes? And also the same "right" that attempted to force women seeking an abortion to undergo vaginal probing just cause?

Lotsa legal scholars here today!

Shh, nobody tell Icewaterchrist, Esq. about Weird Al. He's been flying under the radar for decades!

Ioan Gruffudd, you say? GodDAMMIT Glee, why won't you let me go???

Yesssss, I wondered if anyone else had seen French Twin Peaks and got the deja vu from reading about Resurrection. I'll check out Resurrection just because of that, even if it does look like a yogurt ad.

It's been mentioned elsewhere on the AV Club, but apparently Buffy/Angel and a number of other shows (X-Files, for one) are going to evaporate from Netflix on-demand on April 1. Just FYI to everybody who's playing along at home. Meanwhile they better not disappear Veronica Mars before I'm done, or I'll have some very

SPOILERS, STILL

Totally, even though I love the song (it's super fun to sing around the house). Was that a reference to something that happened earlier? That would make it…well, a little less creepy. Surprised no one else brought this up.

Buffy jumping in the portal without finishing Glory off is a classic example of her doing the noble thing and letting the results sort themselves out. I agree with Rowan that the Buffyverse is stacked against pragmatism, but in this case, Buffy's sacrifice would have been pointless without Giles to back it up with

I think one of the reasons seasons 6 and 7 unraveled for me and others is that the show dropped one of the most important themes from the early seasons: the importance of Buffy's human side to her Slayer side. To the extent they bother attacking her at all, the Big Bads assume Buffy's human side is her weakness and

pedanticoldgit - totally agree that all of that stuff was worse than the end of this episode. I would also add to the list Buffy's abusive relationships with Angel and Spike, whom she's willing to forgive literally any number of horrible crimes. She's so much harder on Willow, Xander, and Giles, which is just
