WASP was shit.

DOA is awesome, especially the intense ending part when EVH speeds up.

Yep, right down to the white Stratocaster.

He's a rock and roll clown, you can't possibly take his lyrics seriously.

By all accounts Sammy is a really nice dude. But musically he's wretched, just painfully shitty. Sammy-era VH is glorified elevator music.

RR was definitely Frazier to EV's Ali. Yngwie had more of that European influence, like Blackmore, while RR and EVH had a more "American" sound.

I've always felt that it was such a loss that EVH never challenged himself musically by hooking up with real musicians, at least not regularly. Listen to "Fair Warning", Eddie is playing this masterful stuff while DLR is guffawing and babbling about porn. Such a waste. I mean Alex is competent at best and while

Total disdain for all hard rock and metal until very recently. They relentlessly bagged on every hard rock band of the 1970s and they totally missed or ignored the scene when it exploded in the 80s.

Not only that but some of the still shots of Dr. Rockzo used in the series were actual DLR photos from the VH days.

VH blew minds when this record came out, the guitar playing was unlike anything else at the time. Early VH definitely doesn't get the credit it deserves re: influence, it was absolutely massive.

Way better than last week's debacle, but then again what isn't? I thought it was decent, perhaps worth seeing again sometime but right now a C episode.

Well, at least they won't be flying off to outer space in an alien spaceship in THIS episode…I hope.

Hell, I thought that Kevin Smith should have done a whole series of "Jay & Silent Bob" flicks, like J&SB Go To Japan, J&SB Go To Africa and so on. I loved that stupid movie.

I took note of that, as it seemed highly unusual.

Absolutely, I mean there aren't a real lot of truly atrocious episodes. Tons of mediocre-to-sub mediocre ones, sure. But very few that I'd label as aggressively terrible.

I've seen every single Simpsons episode ever and IMO this one was easily in the bottom three, if not the single worst one overall ever. Very few individual episodes (even the really bad ones) actually embarrassed me but this one did.

"Other than the Who Shot Mr. Burns episodes, has "The Simpsons" ever done a multi-episode storyline?"…..nope, that's the only multi-part episode they've ever done.

I can see why people hated that episode, but still, it had some laughs. The gag about Homer and the insulin cracked me up…"but I NEED it".

I liked that one, as they took the piss out of Mel a little and he seemed to be a good sport about it (by Mel's standards at least).

See, that one never really bothered me thanks to that "Bad Company" montage, plus the idea of a town full of people who are annoying even by Flander's standards.
