Yes, and the new priest refuses to allow "the mob" to rob the parish blind over the profits, like was commonplace back when Johnny Boy Soprano was running it.

Didn't Tony and Carmela once use Sal's son as an example of the kind of hard worker AJ should aspire to be? Yanked out of college to help his old man cut lawns gratis for some mobsters who "helped him out" after Feech basically ruined his entire life. Yep, still better than AJ.

In fact, in my fetid little part of NJ we have two Catholic churches within a mile of each other and they have competing carnivals every year. Once they tried to combine them into one big carnival but there was some kind of dispute over how to divide the profits LOL!

I think the Cubans had a truckload of bathroom fixtures or something similar.

This is so true and it happens more and more as you grow older. I do love the part where Tony tries to imitate the Viper, "whoa, whoa, take it easy!" though.

Corky, that was driving me crazy recently. I couldn't remember if he was ever named. My all-time fav Corky scene is when he's talking Italian with those "zips" from the "other side" and they look at him with total bemusement.

From Stage 5 (I think): "I beat cancer and it took him out. Ride the painted pony and let the spinning wheel turn".

You're a selfish prick Sal, don't you think this is when Mrs. Sacramoni needs you the most?"

LOL, then Tony gives him a glance like "that's all? Why didn't you just give it to me?".

Those "street fairs"/carnivals are pretty commonplace in NJ during the summer months, just about every Catholic church holds one in one form or another. Never been to one with a gold hat-wearing saint, though, although I try not to visit the Newark area all that often.
