I think it veers into black comedy at times. Heathcliff is so hilariously cruel to his wiener of a son. It's a shame Hollywood doesn't see the comedic gold in all of Heathcliff's shenanigans. But I suppose we already have Heathcliff the cat for comedic shenanigans.
