Pomplemousse I don't know, I don't think it would say anything particularly negative about Tenzin for him to have broken it off with Lin were she barren since he is the only person who can repopulate the airbenders. It's a duty over love thing.

Everything about this episode made my earlier suspicion that Tenzin and Lin broke up at least partially because she couldn't bear children seem even more correct. It was so important to Lin to protect their family specifically because they are the Last Airbenders and the children she can never have.
