Thanks for the feedback. I completely agree with you on the word slut, I have huge problems with its use in pretty much any circumstance for exactly that reason.

AppleJill I agree with that, I just don't think that's what he's doing here. He's being terrible because he's unrepentantly mean to Palin and using vulgarity to up the ante even more, but I don't get the sense that he's trying to reduce her to her cunt as an attack against her as a woman.

I personally have never found that saying to be true, but that's just my point of view. Things don't seem more ludicrous to me because we don't take anything seriously, things seem more ludicrous because there are more people empowered to take part in a system that doesn't function well for them so it's more obvious

Oh, I think he was definitely trying to blame the mother, but only because he hates Sarah Palin as a person and not because he's the kind of guy that body-shames in general or has a problem with women as a group. What he said was pretty awful, it just doesn't seem misogynistic to me. But I'm making many assumptions

Do you actually think he's turning everything into a joke rather than just showing how ludicrous everything is nowadays? I hear this critique a lot, but I don't really understand it since seeing the ridiculousness of our system on a daily basis only increases my want to change it.

Which doesn't make it good, but to me it is in completely different realm than what Limbaugh said

Also, it seems to me that Louis CK is being vulgar, not misogynistic. He never calls Palin a cunt, he's just talking about her cunt. I have no idea whether he is or is not a misogynistic person, but I'm not sure I see the misogyny in what he said, just general meanness.

Whether you win or lose an election, you and your team will get drunk!

Oh, I didn't mean to sound dismissive of it. I think it's entirely possible, but just given our political climate I'd be surprised if it were true AND they got away with making that implication. Nick did let a lot slip past with this series, so maybe it isn't as crazy as I first thought.

Very true, but the writers control where and when the fighting happen, and they had no interest in showing Katara as willing to use bloodbending against Azula, so I think that my point still stands.

Well, according to the creators Azula is sent to whatever the Fire Nation version of a mental institution is (they firebend the gay away for their more homosexual patients). Maybe she and Hama strike up a close friendship.

Spiritbend the political power out of assholes (people, not the body part)

***SPOILERS***

That would be crazy if true, though I doubt if it were they would ever admit it.

I agree it's one of the best in the series, but I've also only paid cursory attention at best to the criticisms Hayden points out. I guess they do not bother me so much since the episode so clearly tries to have its own self-contained atmosphere to play with new ideas, and I applaud them for branching out even though

Yes, it has definitely changed a bit since the first season, but I think the blurb was supposed to say "Network TV" because, umm, Archer?

That sentence killed my brain

society strange  Does he have a first name (either revealed on the show or in your gym)? I don't mean to be creepy, but I call him Mexican Ted in my head since he looks like the Mexican version of my ex-boyfriend and I'd rather not have the ex association anymore when I'm appreciating his photogenic charms.

It was objectively dumb for her to do that. The judges are already tired of people tearing off their wigs in general, and they specifically told Milan last week that she needed to be more feminine. To anyone of any intelligence, that would mean do not rip off your shirt during LSFYL.

Love is a Battlefield would be epic if they got the right Queens lip syncing for their lives.
