I think 30 Rock is still really funny, but I can understand why someone might now. However, do you really think that Tina and Alec have no chemistry? I also think that Jane has good chemistry with everyone in her scenes.

I totally wasn't expecting Justin Hoffman to come out of his mouth and I died

and I love that movie so very much

I totally thought that would happen too. I was getting a vibe everytime Colin was on screen, but the vibe might have actually just been a seizure every time that ridiculous earring he was wearing flashed the screen.

I liked the visual gag of the pirate cereal looking exactly like the rat poison

It maybe could have been expressed a bit more, but I actually think that it's very well represented on screen. After Zuko's betrayal she's so butthurt that she tries to kill him in a seemingly rushed and poorly put together attack (I'm about to celebrate becoming an only child!). Then Mai betrays her specifically

@avclub-143816c28946e8294f0bd6353b88ec2d:disqus The spectrum showed truly is remarkable, especially because they show it for nobility (for lack of a better word) too. Think about the end of the Southern Raiders. Aang is all "Forgiveness" and Katara goes against the kiddie cliche and does not forgive her mother's

I agree completely. What a fantastic show; that's all you can really say when you realize how well thought out it is.

Grad Students are the Worst  and luckily movies don't come out on the same timescale as comic books so this business model may not actually destroy big tent action movies as we know them after making some truly great ones

Their final fight is so fantastic. Whenever I think about it I get goosebumps (also dialogue stops and incredibly perfect mood music starts playing).

You can't divorce the two, but just as you said you can't divorce it from Greco-Sumerian-whatever either. So it makes much more sense to me to talk about individualism in general instead of Christianity specifically unless you are specifically talking about how Aang or the series is like Christ and his teachings.

This is a really interesting set of ideas to explore. At first look I see what you present as not actually bringing in specific Judeo-Christian values, but rather general individualism (which in the West stems from Judeo-Christian values but has become a secular idea as well). So I see Aangs actions in the finale in a

***Vague spoiler about the end of the series***

But her little brother is an infant, toddler at most, so for the majority of Mai's life she was an only child and was raised as such.

We're gonna look SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD

Fang is just a scale-y, fire-y Appa

I loved The Beach as soon as I saw it, but I guess I can understand not knowing what to do with it, especially if you saw it when it aired since it's such a break from the action. However, I am so glad it exists because it allowed me to truly get a sense of Azula, which makes the series all the better. She thinks her
