it makes total sense. how could Joe teach anybody about humor?

yeah, not only is this ship not fully staffed for its launch and half-underequipped, but the "captain" is a loser who freaks out when the standard anamoly comes up. AND, they reuse the old trope of "we're the only ship in the area that can help"; at least this time the help required wasn't "defend Earth"

his work with Praxis is pretty great, too. He and Buckethead really work well together.

as a longtime LA resident, I have to say that part of the fun of watching Alias was guessing where they filmed all the foreign-set scenes (interesting how lots of 3rd world locations were done in East LA). They never did as good a job as they did w/ Lost, but that was a few years later w/ better tech.

his commentary for Starship Troopers is scary in that it sounds like he's talking about the Iraq war.

or, a drag queen waiting to happen

once again, Jacob = black Gomer Pyle

Garak's relationship w/ Ziyal always was a little weird to me due to the age difference, not to mention Garak's cold-blooded killer side. It's like he was hitting on his niece or something.

I've been watching Voyager (just to be a completionist) and wondered a few times who the Science Officer was. 7 of 9 was the de facto one later but they never had a real SO, probably because of their limited mission. Janeway acts as one a few times and Memory Alpha reminds me that she was a SO before she was a

yeah, looking back at the women Riker has drunkenly leered at up until this episode, you don't immediately see Soren and think "she" is his type. That was always the biggest problem I had w/ this episode. Why couldn't they have made Geordi the one who worked alongside and fell for Soren?

I tried to find something amusing in his comments on this past week's talk shows (Daily Show, Conan, Real Time) but couldn't. I'm convinced he's just old friends w/ all of these authentically funny people that they love him and will laugh at his bad jokes.

I've seen a few episodes of Jackie Thomas and it's very much a good show in the same vein of It's Garry Shandling's Show. The Gary Coleman episode is brilliant. If not for peoples' distaste for Tom, it probably would have done a few years.

a good listen:

Jacob Lusk = black Gomer Pyle
and Marc Anthony looked like Steve Buscemi

the best part of that exchange between Autistic Reporter and Mourner is his happy reaction after learning he figured out how the people at the funeral feel.

Shaun Cassidy allegedly also claimed that his management took him away from the real rock'n'roll he was playing in clubs, prior to his stardom.

Debbie
found some of her early work when my daughter was playing a game online. kinda funny to compare her work w/ Grover to her performance in this week's episode:

Where's Adam Curry????
if Pinhead gets to come back, why not bring back Curry hosting Headbanger's Ball?
