And on the pilot of Alias (Danny's funeral). I guess JJ really likes that version of the song.

An A to the episode and an A+ to this review, sir.
From a practical point of view, why would they have Natalie Dormer play Irene if she's an hallucination? Would she be just an hallucination for the remaining two episodes?
I can see that the setup in that scene is ambiguous, especially Watson's reaction. But to me, it seems unlikely. Even disappointing if all there's…
I think the breaking point was about a couple of seasons ago. This episode wasn't funny, or interesting, or new in any way (Really? Your girlfriend/wife doesn't want you to see your ex/friend anymore? It wasn't good when Friends did this 15 years ago. Imagine now.). Everything subplot is about relationship we couldn't…

Nobody noticed the "Manifest Destiny" under the bridge when they meet up with Broyles?

There was also some sort of intermittent power outage on Studio 60 at some point. And God was involved in that one too.

I've been enjoying Veep, in spite of the often broad humor. JLD is enough to make me watch.

No, it would have been a hell of an instance of bad writing.
It was a waste of a whole season. This is where I get off the HIMYM train. I won't be back for next season.
One can only hope…
I think the only problem with the writing was that they drew it out too long. Almost a whole season on Peter not knowing that he was in the right universe all along? He's a pretty smart guy.
I did, and so did most people. AV reviewers.. not so much.
I think it's funny how the AV reviewers have been talking about this universe as a different one the whole season (as Peter thought too) without never really committing to the realistic option that he was simply in the original universe, where he doesn't exist anymore. That bugged me in the reviews and it bugs me now…
